Problem:

An imaging solutions provider wanted to convert AS400 reports to a non-searchable PDF format before running through his indexing engine. The client wanted to eliminate the problem of a massive index size and multiple duplicates when a "full text index" is prepared.

Solution:

OctoPCL with OctoPDF will convert an AS/400 PCL report stream to non-searchable, non-changeable PDF maintaining the report format including font styles/sizes, formatting, graphics and colors. When the indexer is run using filenames and other "meta information", only relevant values will be stored.
